One phone, from the nameplate to the invoice

The three jobs a route runs on — load it, inspect it, bill it — in one place, so nothing falls between them.

Act one — load the portfolio once

Photograph a nameplate. Confirm the row.

Photograph the maker's plate and GaugeRoute drafts the asset — make, model, manufacture date, agent type, size, location — behind your review queue. No hundreds of assets keyed by hand on your first night.

A draft never becomes a record on its own. You approve every row before it counts, and a failed read never counts against your quota.

Act two — the route day, offline

Scan the tag. Inspect. Leave the proof.

No signal in the basement? The published route day runs with no network. Scan the tag, walk the guided pass-or-deficiency check, and snap a photo with a timestamp tied to the serial.

Each stop writes a dated tag record that mirrors the physical tag. Records are append-only — a correction is a new row — so the history holds up in a dispute.

Act three — the paperwork that pays

Deficiency to quote to invoice — on your rails.

A flagged deficiency suggests a remedy line — recharge, 6-year internal, hydro, or replace — and you set the price. An accepted quote becomes a work order, then an invoice you send on your own rails, in whole cents. We record the money; we never process it.

Annual agreements roll forward in the renewal book, with reminders, and every customer gets a login-free compliance page — the record a fire marshal or an insurer asks for.

A look inside the workspace

The same screens your crew and your office work in — the schedule, the customer record, the owner reports, the dated tag record, and the login-free page you hand a customer.

What's due, by site — measured against your own schedule.
Every customer — sites, assets by class, and the contract.
Owner reports — the numbers behind the route.
The dated tag record — append-only, with photo proof.
The customer's own page — the record a marshal or insurer asks for.

The promise the whole product is built on

Drafts behind your review. Never in front of it.

GaugeRoute can read a nameplate and draft an asset row for you — but that draft only becomes a record through your hands. Every draft lands in your review queue. You check it, fix what read wrong, and confirm it row by row.

Review-first is architecture here, not a setting you can leave off. There is no path where a drafted row reaches your portfolio without you. The record is one you approved.

You certify the work. We keep the proof.

The licensed operator certifies the inspection; GaugeRoute is the record and the reminder. We never state or imply a site's compliance status — the tag record carries your own license and cert numbers, and the authority having jurisdiction decides the rest.

One route, every screen you work on

GaugeRoute is built for the office desk and the phone at the wall. The web app and the iPhone and Android apps are on the way; everything will stay in sync everywhere you sign in.

The deal, plainly

The parts most tools bury, said up front, because they're how GaugeRoute is built.

Add technicians, not fees

Unlimited technician seats on every paid plan. Adding a technician never raises your bill.

Your rails, your money

You invoice and get paid directly. We record the money in whole cents; we never hold or process it.

Your dates win

We suggest a route order to save windshield time, but we never move a date or a lock you set.

Leaving is easy

Export everything — sites, assets, every record — free, on every plan, forever.

Flat pricing. No games.

A note from the founder

I'm building GaugeRoute because the trade runs on paper tags, a spreadsheet, and QuickBooks that never talk to each other. The cadence lives in someone's head, the proof lives in a filing cabinet, and the invoice gets written twice.

GaugeRoute keeps the whole route in one place — every asset on its schedule, every inspection on the record, and the billing on your own rails. It's flat-priced with your whole crew included, and your data exports with you, always. If it hands you back your evenings, it's earning its keep.
